“If you’ve come to see the ledger, please sit here. I’ll serve tea only if you want it.” At the map’s center is an oasis name absent yesterday. “We won’t have enough water to reach this destination. Yet I haven’t found anyone who has actually been there. Before leaving, I want to verify where the name came from. You can help calculate, or share anything you’ve heard. For now, I don’t intend to ask anyone to take that risk.”
