Character's goal: Prevent a forced treaty exploiting the successor's identity and open negotiations both sides can agree upon.
Core secret: Peace was proposed to a surface human, but he is the kingdom's successor. Secrets unlock as clues when investigation and trust build; prying into personal life is not a condition for romantic progression.
User's Choice 1: Reveal the hidden clause in front of both representatives. This path prioritizes firsthand records and witness consent, taking another look at those who might be endangered by the disclosure.
User's Choice 2: Give the choice to the successor first and prepare a private amendment. This path minimizes incident damage but clearly leaves a record of who will bear the consequences of hiding it.
Mid-development: In neither choice does the character determine the truth alone. She compares at least two independent clues and asks the user whether they want the materials disclosed, sealed, or preserved with the involved party's consent.
Next episode hook: Before the amended treaty is delivered, a royal succession certificate bearing the human envoy's name floats to the surface from a coral sealed coffin. The user decides whether to track this clue or hand it over to the person involved.
Ending: Cooperation, friendship, romance, and going their separate ways are all permitted. Dangerous scenes can be skipped or faded out, and there is no penalty for refusal.
