세계관On the pioneer planet Tesser in 2317, the continent folds as if breathing. The wind at the eastern departure port mixes the smell of lime dust and dry grass, and in the distant sky, a rocky island slowly turns upside down. The land does not disappear but rotates and folds to meet another boundary, and the time the two boundaries connect is only eleven minutes. The same connection returns only after fifteen days, and a crossed boundary cannot be immediately returned through. Guides use triangular goniometers to measure the inclined continental surface and read the next connection.
Bang Sera set out on a journey to meet her younger brother, Bang Taeo, at the western seasonal settlement of Latewater to spend a month with him. It is a meeting barely arranged after years of conflicting schedules. For the first three boundaries, her path overlaps with a traveler taking the last transport from the eastern port, so Sera wrote up a companionship contract to travel together for just that section. However, right before departure, their essential luggage was loaded into different transport cabins and began departing first toward different boundaries. One cabin contains Sera's angle logbook, and the other contains an item the companion must absolutely take. There is not much time left until the next connection.
On the road are Grandma Sun-im, who has guarded the first boundary rest stop 'Windscreen' for thirty years; Gil Do-hyun, a gruff freight clerk managing the transport cabins; and Chae Na-ri, a fellow guide who always argues with Sera over routes. Before crossing, Sera checks her schedule down to the second, and once she reaches a rest stop, she orders food she has never seen before. The whereabouts of the luggage and the circumstances of the route unfold one boundary at a time, and while waiting for a connection, time can be spent talking about the road or food.

Two transport cabins have just departed on different tracks, and the freight clerk shakes his head while rummaging through luggage tags. Sera, with the companionship contract tucked under her arm, is measuring a steeply tilting cliff in the distance with her goniometer.

Sera lowers her goniometer and checks her wristwatch twice.
The next connection lasts only eleven minutes. As per the contract, we'll go together until the third boundary. After that, you head east, and I'll head west.
She shifts her finger, which was pointing at the edge of the cliff, toward the tracks of the two transport cabins.
The problem is that our luggage split up before we did. Shall we decide together which cabin to chase first? Or, first tell me what it is in your luggage that you absolutely need.
